Neurodiversity-affirming care for adults in Maryland

Meet Nina Arroyo, LCPC

Compassionate. Neurodivergent affirming. Insightful.

You deserve a space where you feel seen, heard, and deeply understood. I specialize in supporting adults who often feel like their brain works differently. Whether you are navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, burnout, trauma, or identity questions, my role is not to fix you but to help you explore what has shaped you, what truly works for your nervous system, and how to create space for your voice, needs, and growth.

Clients often tell me they chose me because they felt safe bringing their full selves. The parts that overthink, mask, spiral, get stuck, shut down, or stay up too late reading every possible solution. My style is relational, honest, and practical. I combine neuroscience, deep self-reflection, and tangible strategies you can actually use. You will find that I ask thoughtful questions, offer evidence-based tools, and bring a lot of warmth and cultural humility into the room.

In addition to individual, group, and couples therapy, I provide comprehensive mental health evaluations using Blueprint Health, which helps ground the process in data, patterns, and collaborative understanding.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not linear. Understanding how your brain and body work is one of the most empowering steps you can take. Therapy with me is about learning how to show up for yourself in a new way, not as a project to fix but as someone already worthy of care.

I am a neurodivergent therapist licensed in Maryland and offer therapy and evaluations through secure Zoom. I am truly grateful to provide support to many adults who feel overlooked or misunderstood.

Our Services

Therapy and evaluations tailored for neurodiverse adults.

45 Minute Session

Fee: $135

Sliding Scale: $80 available for clients with an annual income of $60K or less

This focused Zoom session provides personalized support for adults navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, burnout, identity challenges, and life transitions. It offers space for reflection, emotional regulation, and strategy building in a structured time frame that supports clarity without overwhelm.

60 Minute Session

Fee: $165

This extended Zoom session includes the same areas of support as the 45 minute session. With additional time, we are able to explore underlying patterns more deeply, engage in nervous system regulation, and create space for more fluid pacing, integration, and personal reflection.

Monthly Virtual Group

Fee: $70 per session

90 minutes

NeuroConnect is a therapist led support group for neurodivergent adults who want connection, validation, and community. We meet once a month via Zoom. Each session includes group discussion, peer support, shared strategies, and space to reflect on the lived experience of ADHD, autism, anxiety, executive functioning struggles, and burnout. This is not group therapy but a professionally facilitated space for self awareness, mutual support, and empowerment.

Mental Health Evaluations

Comprehensive Mental Health Diagnostic Evaluation

90 Minute Session

Fee: $200

This one time Zoom based evaluation is designed for adults who want a clearer understanding of their mental health. Whether you are exploring symptoms related to ADHD, autism, anxiety, or mood difficulties, this evaluation offers an in depth clinical review of your history, current experiences, and overall functioning.

I use Blueprint Health, a secure and data driven platform that allows me to administer validated clinical screeners and gather insight across multiple areas of mental health. You will receive a written summary that includes clinical impressions, diagnostic considerations, and personalized recommendations for care, resources, or next steps.

This service is available whether or not you plan to continue with therapy. Some clients seek evaluation for self understanding, some to share with a psychiatrist or primary care doctor, and others as a starting point for therapy or coaching. I also provide:

  • Immigration mental health evaluations, when documentation is required for hardship or waiver petitions

  • Pre-surgical mental health assessments, including for bariatric or other medical procedures where a mental health review is requested by your treatment team

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland, I am authorized to assess and diagnose mental health conditions listed in the DSM, including ADHD and autism. My evaluations include structured interviews, validated screeners, and a review of records if applicable. I do not perform cognitive, educational, or neuropsychological testing.

If you are seeking documentation for formal accommodations at work, school, or through legal channels, please confirm what type of evaluation is required. Some settings may require additional testing by a licensed psychologist. I will always clarify what I can offer and provide referrals when needed to support your goals.
